Vineyard Lutheran School’s principal Geoffrey Strauss has been an educator and a leader in schools locally, interstate and internationally, in both the independent and public schooling system, arriving in Clare at the end of term one breathing new excitement into the community.

“I am acutely aware that the basis for every great school is people working together, in partnership, with a common vision for the future,” Geoffrey said.

“Vineyard Lutheran School is known as a caring and family-orientated school and is well regarded by the community it serves.

“It is a ‘people place’ where staff, students and parents celebrate and live out our values of love, optimism and creativity.

“We are a community that is actively connected and growing for the lifelong journey of learning, providing a quality Christian education, where every member of the community is highly valued and supported.”

The school is organised into four distinct stages of learning; Foundation/Year 1, Year 2/3, Year 4/5 and Year 6/7 with a curriculum focusing strongly on literacy and numeracy while also providing rich and deep learning experiences in all other curriculum and specialist areas including music and performing arts, a second language and physical education.

Vineyard Lutheran School offers children the opportunity to gain their education in a caring and supportive Christian environment, with strong pastoral support and care, valuing diversity and respecting others’ beliefs and cultures.

All students are valued individually and in each learning journey, application and effort is celebrated as students are challenged to fulfil their potential.

The advantage of having a small staff is the close-knit team environment with great communication, planning and assistance to create enriching learning experiences for the entire school.

The smaller size of the school is what draws families to enrol at Vineyard Lutheran School.

The staff know the entire school community, even family pets, which creates the caring and positive environment for students to feel comfortable in the school setting.

At Vineyard Lutheran School they acknowledge that the education of a child is a partnership between home and school, striving to provide its students and families with tools necessary for success.

In a massive drawcard, the school has recently reduced its school fees significantly as of 2020, in order to ease financial pressure on families.

This decision has been made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as ongoing drought concerns in the district.
